Non-contact and wear-free measurement technology for position and angle detection of solar, heliostat und photovoltaics modules

SIKO MagLine is known for its decades of experience in the field of magnetic non-contact measurement technology. SIKO Magline offers a range of measurement solutions specially designed for the metrological requirements in tracking photovoltaic, solar and parabolic modules.

Whether incremental or absolute measurement solutions with integrated evaluation technology, the system is easy to install. Magnetic tape or a magnetic ring ready-made to customer specifications is fitted using adhesive or clamp mounting. Robust sensors with an IP67 protection rating scan the incremental or absolute measurements coded into the magnetic tape with no contact or wear. The measurement signals are transferred directly from the sensors to the controller.

Uni- or bi-axial modules can therefore precisely track the sun based on the measurement information.

Even unfavourable conditions such as heat, cold, condensation, humidity, dust or vibrations are absolutely no problem for SIKO magnetic measurement systems. These qualities give magnetic measurement technology a clear advantage in comparison to conventional optical systems.
