Sensors

Information gathered on a magnetic strip or ring is translated by sensors and transferred to a downstream electronics unit. Values measured by active sensors are converted into digital counting pulses, analog sine-cosine signals or absolute values. For passive sensors, combination with a display or translation module is required.

Magnetic strip

Magnetic strips are flexible scales for recording distance or angle information, available as incremental or absolute versions. They consist of a magnetically encoded plastic strip permanently stuck onto a carrier steel strip.

Magnetic ring

Magnetically encoded plastic strips for angle or speed measurement. The strips are available as flexible magnetic rings without a flange or stuck onto a metal ring (flange).

Displays

The displays for magnetic measuring systems have been purpose-designed for connection to passive magnetic sensors. Together with the sensors the magnetic displays form a self-contained measuring system for direct display of measured values.

Translation module

A translation module converts the signals measured by a passive magnetic sensor into digital counting pulses or serial absolute values. The device offers easy operation and changing of parameters.
